Today, at the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony witnessed by Penang Port Commission Chairman Yang Nam Keng, the partners including Viet Princess Cruiser Corporation (VPCC), Ships Classification Malaysia (SCM) and Vietnam Shipbuilding Engineering J.S.C. (VISEC) officially cooperated with Ocean Land Holdings Cruise Group to develop Malaysia's first luxury cruise ship – Penang Princess.

• Capacity: 300 passengers, 50 crew
• Structure: Steel hull, steel superstructure
• Main engine: 02 x 450kW

VISEC’s central role

VISEC, Viet Princess Cruiser Corporation (left), and other parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) witnessed by Chairman Yang Nam Keng (Center).
Main engineering design unit: VISEC is responsible for the entire techincal design of Penang Princess, from hull architecture, propulsion system, passenger space arrangement to safety and stability solutions.
Technical standards shaping: VISEC directly develops solutions that meet international standards (IMO, SOLAS) and Malaysian inspection, ensuring that the ship achieves both optimal performance and strict compliance with maritime safety requirements.
Advanced technology integration: VISEC applies modern design technologies to reduce emissions, optimize fuel and improve stability, contributing to making Penang Princess a model for the new generation of cruise ships in the region.
Affirming international capacity: Through this project, VISEC proves its global competitiveness in the field of ship design and engineering, while expanding cooperation opportunities with international maritime corporations.

Ocean Land Holdings' strategic orientation
Penang Princess is the first step in the plan to expand the fleet in Malaysia, moving towards phases 2 and 3.
Long-term goal: expand to regional markets such as Thailand and Southeast Asia, making Penang a new maritime tourism hub.
Focus on a cruise model that combines cuisine - entertainment - luxury resort, aiming to increase the length of stay and spending of tourists.
