HANDOVER OF 45,000-TON CARGO SHIP “TRUONG MINH DREAM 05” – A MARK OF INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COOPERATION

On July 2, 2025, in Quang Ninh, Ha Long Shipbuilding Company held a handover ceremony of the 45,000 DWT cargo ship named “Truong Minh Dream 05” to Dong Bac Shipbuilding Industry Joint Stock Company. This is one of the distinctive products of the Vietnamese shipbuilding industry in 2025, marking an important step forward in improving the capacity to design and construct large cargo ships according to international standards.
Modern Design – Optimal Performance – Global Standards
The ship “Truong Minh Dream 05” was designed by the Joint Venture of Vietnam Shipbuilding Engineering Joint Stock Company (VISEC) and Bluetech (Finland) – a combination of international design experience and domestic technical capacity. In this project, VISEC is responsible for the technical design and workshop design, focusing on:
• Optimizing the ship's operating performance in actual operating conditions;
• Reducing fuel consumption, saving about 30% compared to current ships of the same type;
• Fully meeting international standards on safety, environment and energy efficiency, and being inspected by Lloyd's Register.
The ship is capable of operating in major seaports around the world, including the US, Europe and Australia, thanks to its modern design, standard emission system and reduced dead weight to an optimal level.

The "Truong Minh Dream 05" project is not only a high-quality technical product, but also a clear demonstration of VISEC's technical and workshop design capacity in participating in large-scale international projects. The effective cooperation between VISEC and Bluetech has created a product that converges the factors: Safety - Efficiency - Sustainability.
This is also the next step in VISEC's development strategy, aiming to become a reliable design partner in the global value chain of the shipbuilding and maritime industry.
